Focus on Flowers. This series, "A Focus on Flowers" flies in the face of conventional stereo guidelines by deliberately making use of a very shallow depth of field.
I've chosen to narrow camera's focus to just the main subject. The rest of the image, in all its blurred bokeh glory, is there for suggestion and context only, to support and complement -- not distract from -- the focal point.
In using the natural backgrounds (as opposed to a solid color), the scenes retain a greater sense of space with substance on various planes, even though they are out of focus.
